It's time to FLY with
a 3 day course of
bird taxidermy!
(Thursday-Saturday)
The Avian Art Academy offers an in studio 1:1 hands on creation and skill building of bird taxidermy located in Plain City, UT (45 min North of Salt Lake City Airport) Whether you are a beginner, or advanced taxidermist this hands on course will take you to new heights. You will be able to complete the process from start to finish and take home your custom artistic bird.
DAY 1
Thursday- Immersion
Bird preparation by proper assessment, measuring, skinning, fleshing, and washing of bird.
DAY 2
Friday- Repetition
Reference photo of specimen, bird preposing, injecting feet, proper eye setting, and pre-painting bill.
DAY 3
Saturday- Implementation
Creation and mounting of bird in natural and artistic setting. This includes anatomy, feather alignment, and painting of feet.
